Threads joins YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Telegram as an automatic destination in PostGaadi. Upload once, and your video can now go to Threads in the same campaign as everything else.

What's included

  • Official sign-in. You connect your Threads profile through Meta's Threads sign-in page. PostGaadi never sees your password, and the access token is stored encrypted.
  • Video posts with text. Each Threads destination gets its own text, so you can rewrite your caption for the Threads audience.
  • Reply controls. Choose who can reply: everyone, only accounts you follow, or only people you mention.
  • Scheduling. Publish right away or schedule Threads with the rest of the campaign.

Limits we check before posting

Threads has its own rules, and PostGaadi checks them before anything is published:

  • Videos up to 5 minutes and 1 GB
  • MP4 or MOV, encoded with H.264 or HEVC
  • Post text up to 500 characters
  • Profiles can publish up to 250 posts in 24 hours through the API

If your video is longer, larger or in another format, the Threads destination tells you why before you publish — and where a compatible copy can be made automatically, it is.

How publishing works

Threads publishes in two steps: it first downloads and processes your video, then the post goes live. PostGaadi waits for Threads to finish processing and only marks the destination published once Threads confirms it, with a link to the post. If processing fails, you see the reason and can retry that one destination without re-posting to the others.

Setting it up

  1. Open Accounts and choose Connect Threads.
  2. Approve the requested permissions on the Threads sign-in page.
  3. Add Threads as a destination in any campaign.

If you run your own copy of PostGaadi: Threads downloads videos from a public HTTPS link, so object storage such as S3 or Cloudflare R2 needs to be configured. With local storage, Threads appears as a guided manual step instead.

What's next

We're working on Threads analytics for accounts that grant the insights permission. As always, metrics we can't get are shown as unavailable — never estimated.

Happy posting!
